Simple Taste Interiors is an e-commerce furniture shop located in Portugal.


Started in 2006, from the desire to provide quality furniture at affordable prices, has since then brought to clients all across Europe a wide variety of interior and exterior furniture, which have all been hand-picked from reliable Portuguese suppliers.

Challenge & Solution

 

Simple Taste had an outdated online store duplicated in 3 different domains (one for each language).

Our main challenge here was to create a new e-commerce platform that not only reflected the client's business, but was also fully integrated with multilingual features, and finally, that enabled a much more pleasant overall user experience. However, when developing an online store, we need to identify which of the available e-commerce platform systems best suits the client's needs.

For this project, it was important to choose an open-source platform in order to have full access to the code and not overload the client with additional costs. With this in mind and given the project's scope, we found that Prestashop was the best platform to work with.

As a core e-commerce system that is constantly updated, Prestashop not only provides the user with a good experience when managing products but is also able to integrate with other platforms or plugins if necessary.

Based on all of its features our team was then able to build a modern, clean, and unique website all according to the client's brand identity while also making it easy to interact with and update.
